OCD Awareness Week

OCD Awareness Week is an international effort to raise awareness and understanding about obsessive compulsive disorder and related disorders, with the goal of helping more people to get timely access to appropriate and effective treatment. Launched in 2009 by the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), of which OCD Massachusetts is an official affiliate of, OCD Awareness Week is now celebrated by a number of organizations across the US and around the world, with events such as OCD screening days, lectures, conferences, fundraisers, online Q&As, and more.

OCD Awareness Week takes place during the second full week of October each year, and this year it’s October 9–15, 2016. Click here to visit the IOCDF’s website for a full list of #OCDWeek events taking place across the globe.

OCD Massachusetts in excited to announce that it will be hosting IOCDF Spokespersons, Elizabeth McIngvale, PhD, Jeff Bell, and Ethan S. Smith as they tour around the U.S. during #OCDweek to raise awareness and fight stigma. This OCD And Mental Health Awareness Road Trip is called the Road to Recovery Tour, and OCD Massachusetts will be hosting the spokespersons on Thursday October 13th at the Massachusetts State House Luncheon.
